Meet Nathan Condie, our Executive Director at Oakmont of Varenna.
Nathan comes to our Santa Rosa Retirement Community with experience ranging from Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Independent Living. While working as an Exercise Specialist in a cardiac rehab unit near Santa Rosa, California, he found his passion for the field of senior care. From the moment he saw the impact that skilled professionals could have on the lives of aging seniors he knew that a career in senior living was for him. Nathan has nearly ten years of experience in the senior care field, and his high-level experience in medical facilities, as well as retirement communities, gives him the ability to serve our residents at a very high level.
While Nathan could have selected any senior living organization to work with he decided to call Oakmont Senior Living home. When we asked him why he selected Oakmont of Varenna, he said, “I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to serve as the Executive Director. Varenna is a spectacular community with even more amazing residents and staff. I have been in the Senior Living Industry for almost ten years and having the privilege to work here is a dream come true.”
Nathan has a passion for raising the bar in every way imaginable for our residents. His background in the medical field gives him a resident-focused approach to his role that pushes him and the entire team to actively seek out ways to raise the bar in our industry. Nathan has also stated how much he believes that the amazing Santa Rosa location of the retirement community plays a huge role in the resident’s care. All of Oakmont’s retirement communities engage the senses of their residents, but with Varenna’s wine cave, panoramic view including a trolley car, a private boat dock, indoor and outdoor pool, on-site vineyard, and movie theater, it is easy to see why residents are so eager to get up to see the sunrise and explore every morning.
Nathan and his wife of eight years have a five-year-old son and two-year-old daughter. They enjoy exploring all of the amazing scenery that Santa Rosa and surrounding areas have to offer in their time off. In Nathan’s spare time he enjoys quality time with his family and playing soccer.
